(뉴스인020 = 박용우 기자) ‘신경주대학교’ – ‘(주)더올’ 국제교류협력 협약서 ‘MOU’ 체결을 지난 8월 30일 오후 2시께 ‘국제교류부총장 김종주’ ‘(주)더올 대표 김성길’ 외 관계인이 모인 가운데 서로 간단한 소개와 함께 협약식을 진행했다고 밝혔다.
‘신경주대학교’은 경주시 태종로 188에 자리잡고 있는 4년제 대학으로 교육부가 4월 (구)경주대와 서라벌대 통폐합을 승인한 데 이어 올 8월에 새 학교명으로 ‘신경주대학교’로 승인했다.
또한 (구)‘경주대’는 1988년 개교한 후 한때 학생 수가 6000명이 넘었고 관광 특성화 최우수대학으로 명성을 떨쳤다. ‘서라벌대’ 역시 1981년 개교한 경주지역 유일 전문대학으로 알려져 있다.

이번 ‘국제교류협력 협약서’ 내용 중 ‘대학교’와 ‘더올’은 상호 협력하에 연구 활동과 지식 정보의 교환 및 위탁 교육을 통하여 발전적 ‘국제교류협력’을 진흥시키며 국가 발전에 이바지하고 여기에 시설기자재 및 실험 • 실습 기자재를 공동 활용과 동시에 관련 교수 외 실무진을 현장연수·현장실습에 기초를 다 하여 학생들에 대한 연계를 도모하여 펼쳐나간다고 전했다.
이에 ‘국제교류 부총장 김종주’는 교육현장에서 요구되는 우수한 전문교수를 전인교육에 최선을 다하여 배치 적극적으로 유학생 교육에 대한 빈틈없는 노력을 기여 할 것이며 이어 ‘대학교’와 ‘더올’은 상호 발전적 ‘국제교류협력’ 을 통하여 “어려운 지역경제를 위해 조금이라도 진흥시키며 이번 업무를 통해 ‘신경주대학교’의 면모를 보여줄 좋은 ‘기회’가 되길 원한다”고 말했다.
한편 ‘(주)더올 김 대표’ 는 전 세계 유학생들을 국 내외 기관과 지역 사회의 협력을 통해 인재를 양성하고, 지역 내 안정적인 정주까지 성장경로를 구축하는 매우 가치 있는 업무이며 "국제화 시대에 발맞추어 ‘한국의 전통과 한국어 공부’를 위해 유학생이 선발되어 전 지역 대학에 연결될 수 있도록 필요한 지원을 늦추지 않겠다"라고 말하고 “신경주대학교 ‘국제교류협력’ 협약체결이 원만하게 이루어져 매우 만족스러우며 지금 당장 조금은 부족하지만 앞으로 이번 기회를 통하여 신뢰와 약속이 늘 함께 같이 가기를 원한다.”라고 말했다.
